Each Verified Answer Card is signed as an Ed25519 compact JWS covering its calculation inputs, engine release, result, explanation, and timestamp. Anyone can verify it independently against VerChem's published public key instead of trusting a server-reported validity result. Standard calculator panels are not signed.
On a Verified Answer Card, AI only narrates around the signed numbers — it never generates the result itself. Any later edit to the signed engine result or explanation breaks the signature.
